Lily and Cosmo Sterck became the proud owners of Marmo this year after combined careers in some of London’s most sought after independent restaurants. Heading out west the couple wanted to bring a simple and humble offering to Bristol, leaving the fuss of London behind and celebrating what’s local and in season for both food and wines. Marmo comes from the Italian for marble, sourced specifically from the region Lily and Cosmo have a strong personal connection to and where they have drawn their culinary inspiration from for the restaurant. 

 

Lily and Cosmo knew that a simple word mark was what they were after for their brand, whilst still needing it to deliver the passion and honesty their venture represented.  The brand application needed to be simple and flexible so the couple could adapt themselves with an ever changing menu devoted to the seasons.
